Dua

Dua Lipa (born in London) is an English musician and singer who was born on the 22nd of August 1995 within London United Kingdom. After a stint as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album reached the top spot at No. three on the U.K. Charts. There were eight songs released such as Be the 1 I.D.G.A.F., and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as number 6. Lipa was awarded an award at the Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist as well as British Breakthrough Act and her album was certified platinum across several countries around the world. Dua Lipa was conceived at the age of 18 in London by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian descent. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. She has a brother Gjin Lipa as well as a sister Rina. The musical influence of Lipa's came from her father who was the guitarist and singer of the Kosovan Rock band Oda. While at home, her dad would play original compositions along with songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started to sing when she was just six years old. In the age of nine she learned how to sing. Lipa covered Beautiful, by Christina Aguilera as well as If Ain't Got You By Alicia Keys. Lipa's record contract signed with Warner Bros. Records was announced in 2014. Her first single was released New Love in August of 2015.
